How to work with We are Girls in Sport

You might be a sports club or team, a school or sporting organisation. Perhaps you’re a company that supports women and girls to stay active with kit, campaigning or collaboration. Well, we would love to collaborate with you too to help improve access to sport and break down the barriers that prevent girls moving their bodies.

Here are some ways that we can work together:

Speakers

We are building our list of speakers. They are experts and specialists, ready to educate and inspire and help more girls and women participate in sport.

If you are a speaker and would like to join our directory, get in touch.

Club Directory

I fell in love with the team aspect of wheelchair basketball and realised there was a club only ten minutes down the road from my house! I just wish I’d known sooner.
— Siobhan Fitzpatrick

Wheelchair athlete Siobhan Fitzpatrick said this in a We are Girls in Sport interview and it really made us stop and think. There was a wheelchair basketball club just ten minutes from her home and she didn’t know. We want to eliminate this issue with our club directory. If you are involved in a sports club, contact us to have your club added to the directory.

Camp Directory

Holiday camps are a great way for girls of all ages to try new sports and activities. Many elite athletes tried lots of different sports as children before they found ‘the one.’ Holiday camps offer a chance to have a go without a huge commitment - financial or time.

We are always planning ahead so if your club or school is offering a sports camp for the next school holiday period, do consider advertising with us. Get in touch to find out more.

Newsletter

The We are Girls in Sport weekly newsletter covers UK elite and grassroots sport for women and girls. There is a team of sport-specific contributors but we are always looking for more! We’re also looking for

  • Stories - share stories or tip offs with us. We want to hear about success in every form: personal bests, wins and firsts. We read them all!

  • Advertising - if you work in the women’s sports arena, you might want to consider reaching our female-sport focussed readership. We will so appreciate your support!

  • Sponsorship - sponsorship of the newsletter or newsletters is super-sized advertising with your name across our socials and website too. You will be supporting We are Girls in Sport as well as our contributor collective, many of whom are aspiring journos. We would love to be able to guide them on their path to sports journalism with expert talks and guidance.
