Weug Closes in While Block Breaks Through

The 2025 F1 Academy round in Singapore was packed with action.

Qualifying and Wildcard Surprise

In a tight session under the lights, Maya Weug took pole position by just 0.042 seconds over Dorian Pin, keeping her title hopes alive. However, the big surprise the French wildcard Lisa Billard who qualified P5 which is the highest start for a wildcard in F1 Academy history.

Race 1 Results

Race 1 used a reverse-grid format, flipping the top eight qualifiers. That gave Lia Block pole position. The American driver drove flawlessly, managing the pressure from behind and took her first F1 Academy win. It was a huge moment for her and her team.

Weug fought through from P8 to finish second while Chloe Chambers stayed consistent with a solid P3. Pin struggled to make moves and finished fifth, losing critical points. Unfortunately, wildcard Lisa Billard had her race cut short after contact with Alba Larsen forced her to retire the race.

Race 2 Results

Race 2 was chaotic because rain hit the Marina Bay circuit in the middle of the race. Pin led most of the way but was caught and passed by Weug in the final lap who took the win. Pin had to settle for P2 and Ella Lloyd drove a clean race to claim third.
